Our Super Spring Break
Our vacay began with the amazing A Black Tie Affair: An Evening in the Secret Garden gala that took place at the Kaiser Rooftop Garden.
The chilly winds were the only detractors from this event that showcased models from the Mario B. Fashion Program. The girls were stepping something fierce! Kids too!
The lovely and awesomely sultry singer, Raja Rahim, pictured here with members from her band, greeted guests as they stepped off the elevator.
Tessa Evans, our sister from another mister, wowed the crowd with her sensational voice. She brings you into a space reminiscent of Billie Holiday and E. Badu combined.
The ladies love LB! LB Muzac performed songs from his latest CD, Love & Life: The Saga.
Throughout the night, Full House rocked the mic. We were dancing and singing all evening.
Oakland’s Vice-Mayor, Desley Brooks, was honored for her dedicated work in the community. Pictured here with Mario B. and Black Tie host, comedian J-Red.
The evening closed with the lovely Chante’ Moore, who closed out the night with her angelic voice.
Special thanks, to Larry Smith of Swag Photography for documenting the night for us. See more of his pix on the gallery page.
Next up was the D.I.V.A. Tea hosted by Dreamgirl, Sheryl Lee Ralph.
D.I.V.A. stands for Divinely Inspired Victoriously Anointed. The brainchild of Ralph, D.I.V.A. brings HIV/AIDS awareness to women and girls across the country in a tea setting. The event was held at Allen Temple Baptist Church.
We were invited to participate by the lovely Denisha Delane, of Faith in the Bay.
Health professionals shared alarming statistics and welcoming advice on medical issues concerning African American women.
Sheryl is so sweet and she can S.A.N.G. Before she spoke, she rendered the crowd speechless with her beautiful voice. She then encouraged, admonished, and lovingly told us to get our act together concerning our health and well being. She was uber-friendly, taking pictures with everyone, including us!
c2 is C’s musical prodigy. He and Mademoiselle F. impressed the crowd at their school’s piano recital. Can we say future clients?
Last weekend, our sister company, Divine Wines, helped co-produce the Sister’s Network annual luncheon and fashion show at the San Francisco Hilton. Gail Bishop serves as the president of the San Francisco Chapter of the organization that is the largest African American cancer survivorship organization in the nation. Photos courtesy of Keith B. Judge Mablean Ephriam served as keynote speaker for the day.
This week c1 is in the original high school production of In Between, written and directed by students of the Ragged Wing Youth Ensemble.
We have a little break in-between ,(pun intended), our summer gigs, Thank God! Hope your Spring Break was as Super as ours!
