Returning to Yoshi's Jazz Club, Anna Maria Flechero brings to the jazz stage original compositions and stylized jazz standards with the release of "Special Edition-Journey Into The Fourteenth Hour." "Special Edition" revisits the various dimensions of life and love from the viewpoint of this native San Franciscan. Bottom line for Ms. Flechero..."life is all about love."
Ms. Flechero performs at various venues, corporate events and festivals. Reconnecting with her roots, Afro-Filipina Anna Maria Flechero was a featured artist at the 2009 Second Annual San Francisco Filipino-American Jazz Festival held at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts and produced by the San Francisco Filipino-American Jazz Festival. From that connection Ms. Flechero performs March 1st with Little Brown Brother and Myrna Del Rio will make a special guest appearance.
Jazz Review described Ms. Flechero's original compositions as "an articulate and serious expression of vocal jazz at its finest." And, Jazz Police wrote: "Anna Maria's incomparable voice creates a voyage from start to finish, each song having its own specialty and flavor to truly create a diverse passage from track to track, . . . [m]usically, Anna Maria has created a beautiful composition that is texturally stunning and harmonically rich."
