Bay Area Blues Society West Coast Hall of Fame Awards

The Bay Area Blues Society honors musicians who play to perserve the American-born musical art form, the Blues. A fundraiser for the Blues in the Schools program, the West Coast Hall of Fame is put on by the Bay Area Blues Society and this year eighteen members were inducted into this prestigious group.

The night was a Blues lover's paradise with performances by the legendary Lester Chambers (Chambers Brothers), The Caravan All Stars, and the ladies favorite, Lenny Williams. Black Pearl was in the house to help honor our friend Barbara Taylor who works on a variety of societal causes and business ventures, such as Lend a Hand Foundation and the Bay Area Black Expo.

The night was a Who's Who of Blues artists: Filmore Slim, Tia Collins, Bobby Webb, Norm DeCarlo, Mingus Amungus, Dave Newhouse, Little Wolfe and others. For more information on the Bay Area Blues Society please visit their website, here.
