Socialicious vocals wine with roots, ska, and dub to create RAZTERIA the latest CD release from Roots Reggae artist, Renee Asteria. Described as “musically adventurous,” (C. Foster, Reggae Update, getthebeat.com), the Asteria brand of music fuses elements of pop, rock, Latin folk, and reggaeton into pleasant blends of message and music.

Renee Asteria and friends, Raw¬-G and Gode’ will perform tracks from RAZTERIA Thursday, September 23, 2010 at Ashkenaz, 1329 San Pablo Ave, Berkeley, CA. Doors open at 8pm.

Drawn to the messages woven into reggae , the Bolivian and Dutch born artist wrote, produced, and arranged RAZTERIA-a rewarding first. The third album and 9 track CD features , singing artist Mbutshu Yindja, the talented rapper, Raw G and instrumentalists Waddell Bell (bass), Lou Neuburger (drums), Luke Thomas (guitar), and Joe Bressler (keys).

RAZTERIA feature tunes include: “ILLEGAL” – a Roots-Reggae, Abyssinians-style tune dedicated to the struggle of immigrants and “RISK”, a Reggae tune promoting a message of safe sex and HIV/AIDS prevention which features upcoming international rap artist RAW-G in a remix version.
